I loved finding out about the Marbled Murrelet.

Ram Papish painted this gem for me at Good Nature Publishing to make a small print and cards that highlight this beautiful keystone species of the Pacific Northwest old growth forest.

And here is Ram Papish's beautiful painting of Pileated woodpeckers. Love this family scene Ram created in celebration of one my family's favorite birds. They were rare when I was a kid camping in the Adirondacks, but now I can even find them in our local parks here in Seattle. So glad to see them hammering away at a dead tree trunk, picking out grub sushi.
How about you? What are some of your favorite birds?
Get the Merlin App from Cornell if you haven't. Wonderful way to learn about birds.
