“The clearest way into the Universe is through a forest wilderness.”

― John Muir

There are 32 native conifers in the Northwest. Beautiful big trees once covered every mile of the west coast of the coastal temperate rainforest.

Now that we have been extracting our tree cousins for over 100 years, the path to restoration is upon us.

I made the NW Conifers poster by accident of sharing an office with Michael Lee, landscape designer.

This picture of some of my tree family on the Heather Lake trail. These are my meditation teachers, the ones who have stood in place for 500-600 years and tell our busy mind to shut up in the kindest way.

What are some of your favorite ancient groves?

These fragments of the original forest are here to welcome us to Mother Earth's glad tidings.
