I'm daydreaming of reclaiming Hwy 99 between Seattle Center and Green Lake here in north Seattle.
Imagine a Highline style park reforesting concrete.
I'd like to see archiecture students draft ideas for the park and include abundant, beautiful social housing.
We need to build abundant affordable housing that is owned by the public and not vulnerable to speculative housing market making housing too expensive.
By reforesting Hwy 99 and nesting social housing along the almost 6 miles of highway, we can change the world in response to climate change and build abundant social housing.
